Creator Chronicles Guild Recruitment: Houses, Roles, Professions & Mood
Recruit guild members efficiently by matching vacancies to combat roles and town professions, then protect the members worth keeping.

Quick answer
Do not recruit by name alone. Every invite consumes scarce housing, while each member needs to justify the slot through a combat role, a profession, or both. Keep at least one vacant house when hunting a specific profession, and check mood before repeatedly sending the same fragile member into bad fights.
Official Steam screenshotThe housing rule that causes the most early frustration
- Long-form Demo footage explicitly shows that one house is needed per guild member.
- If a target visitor appears while all houses are occupied, you can miss the invite window.
- Houses become more expensive as you build more in the Demo footage, so “recruit everyone” is also an economy problem.
Practical rule
Before waiting on a rare Fisher, Alchemist or Blacksmith, create one vacancy first. Housing is recruitment capacity, not decoration.
Use the updated contacts tools
Guide illustration
- The pre-launch updates improved sorting/filtering by class, profession, level, combat power and contact order.
- Invited members now show their name, level, profession and class above their heads.
- Treat filters as a roster-planning tool: search by the bottleneck you need to solve, not by portrait.
Why mood changes who is “worth keeping”
- Mood can shift from dungeon deployment, colleague death and returning to town.
- Low mood can reduce stats and profession efficiency.
- If mood falls below a threshold, a member can leave permanently in modes/rules where departure applies.
- Full release adds the Tavern specifically to give you another way to manage members and mood.
